BIHR offers this carburettor jet. A carburettor mixes the air drawn in by the engine with the right amount of fuel, and it is the jets that meter that fuel.
Why change the jet?
The benefits:
- Match the carburation to a modified exhaust, air filter or airbox.
- Correct the mixture when you ride at altitude or when the temperature changes a lot: thinner air, smaller jet.
- Replace a blocked or damaged jet to get back easy starting and clean pick-up.
When should you replace this part?
A jet blocked by fuel deposits or dirt, or with its orifice enlarged by cleaning it with wire: the engine is hard to start, idles unevenly or stutters at full throttle.
