PROX Carburettor Rebuild Kit for HUSQVARNA, HUSABERG and KTM 2003-2010

The PROX 55.10521 carburettor rebuild kit is designed for HUSQVARNA TC 250, TC 450, TC 510, TE 250, TE 450, TE 510, TE 610, TXC 250, TXC 450, TXC 510, KTM EXC 250, EXC 400, EXC 450, EXC 525, SX 450, SX 525 and HUSABERG FE 450, FE 550, FE 650, FS 650 from 2003 to 2010. Over time and with today's fuels, the carburettor's seals harden and the float needle wears: the carburettor leaks, the float bowl overflows and the carburation becomes unstable. This kit brings the carburettor back to its original condition.

When to replace it?

• Fuel running out of the overflow, float bowl overflowing.
• Unstable idle, hard starting, carburation that keeps changing.
• Hardened seals or a seeping float bowl.

When bringing a bike back into service after it has stood unused for a long time, during a full carburettor clean, or as soon as a leak appears.

Fitting tips

1. Strip and clean the carburettor (cleaning bath, compressed air), noting the original settings: float height, number of turns on the fuel screw.
2. Replace all the gaskets and O-rings in the kit, without reusing the old ones.
3. Set the float height according to the manual.
4. Reassemble, then set the idle and the fuel screw with the engine warm; check the colour of the spark plug after a few rides.
