TOURMAX Intake Pipe Kit (2 pcs)

TOURMAX offers this inlet manifold. The inlet manifold (or flange) is the rubber sleeve that holds the carburettor and connects it to the engine’s intake.

Why replace the inlet manifold?

The benefits:

• Cure an air leak that makes the idle unstable and the carburation impossible to set up.
• New, supple rubber holds the carburettor firmly and soaks up vibration.
• Also useful when fitting a different carburettor: a flange of the right diameter makes the connection.

Why choose TOURMAX?

Tourmax has its parts made in Japan by suppliers to the major Japanese manufacturers, at OEM quality level according to the brand.

When should you replace this part?

Rubber that is cracked, hard or split, a carburettor that moves in its flange, an idle that creeps up on its own or an engine that runs unusually hot: replace the manifold.

Specifications and fitting tips

• Manufacturer part number: CHY-6

Cross-Mania tip: Fit a new gasket on the engine side if there is one, tighten the screws in a cross pattern and the clamps just enough to stop the carburettor turning, then check the idle stays steady: revs that climb on their own point to an air leak.
