The chain linking the crankshaft to the camshaft so the valves and piston stay in sync.

VERTEX offers this cam chain for POLARIS GENERAL 1000, RANGER 570 CREW, RANGER CREW 900, RANGER XP 900, RZR 900 2013-2020. In a four-stroke engine, the timing chain transfers the crankshaft’s motion to the camshaft.

Why replace the timing chain?

The benefits:

Replace a stretched, noisy chain.
Restore precise valve timing.
Best replaced with the tensioner and guides for a fully new set.

Why choose VERTEX?

Vertex has manufactured in Italy since 1953 and has supplied KTM’s original pistons since 1996 (KTM, Husqvarna, GASGAS), with ISO 9001-certified production.

When should you replace the timing chain on your POLARIS RANGER XP 900?

Hard hot starting, valve clearance that keeps closing up or a noisy timing chain: the valve train is wearing.
