Adjusters, cable nipples, outer cable ferrules and rubber boots: the small parts to adjust, repair or make up a control cable (throttle, clutch, brake, choke).
VENHILL offers this cable adjuster. A control cable is made of a steel inner wire that slides inside an outer casing. At the end of the inner wire, a brass nipple (crimped or soldered) hooks into the lever or throttle; at the end of the casing, a ferrule keeps it seated.
Why cable adjusters and fittings?
The benefits:
- Set a cable’s free play at the handlebar, without stripping anything, for precise control.
- Repair a cable trackside or in the workshop by replacing only the damaged nipple or ferrule.
- Rubber boots keep cables clean and smooth for longer, despite mud and washing.
Why choose VENHILL?
Venhill was founded in 1970 in Dorking, England, by trials and motocross rider Chris Ventris; its cables and hoses are made in-house, and every Powerhose line (stainless braid, minimum burst pressure 12,000 psi) is pressure-tested under water before dispatch.
When should you replace this part?
Measure the original part: nipple diameter and length, casing diameter, adjuster thread (diameter and pitch).
