T-BRAKE Rear Brake Line for SUZUKI RMZ 250, RMZ 450 and KAWASAKI KXF 250, KXF 450 2004-2010

On KAWASAKI KXF 250, KXF 450 and SUZUKI RMZ 250, RMZ 450 from 2004 to 2010, the T-BRAKE INNSSBH-RMZ-R brake line fits in place of the original part. The brake line connects the master cylinder to the caliper and carries the fluid pressure. A swollen or damaged line makes the brakes spongy; a new line gives you back a firm, precise lever.

When to replace it?

• Spongy lever or pedal despite a proper bleed.
• Outer sheath cut, crushed or cracked, corroded fittings.
• Fluid weeping at the fittings.

Replace the line as soon as it's been damaged by an impact or a branch, and at the intervals given in your bike's service manual.

Fitting tips

1. Drain the system and remove the old line, noting how it's routed.
2. Fit the new one with new copper washers on each side of the banjo fittings, tightened to the manufacturer's torque.
3. Route the line exactly like the old one, so that it doesn't rub or pull tight when the suspension or the steering moves.
4. Fill and bleed with fresh brake fluid, then check that the lever is firm.
