NG offers this brake disc for POLARIS GENERAL 1000, GENERAL 1000 DELUXE, GENERAL 1000 EPS DELUXE, GENERAL 1000 EPS PREMIUM, RANGER 1000 DIESEL EPS 2015-2022. The disc is bolted to the wheel and turns with it. When you brake, the caliper squeezes the pads against the disc: the friction turns speed into heat and the wheel slows down.
