NG offers this brake disc for POLARIS SPORTSMAN 400, SPORTSMAN 500 HO 2000-2003. The disc is bolted to the wheel and turns with it. When you brake, the caliper squeezes the pads against the disc: the friction turns speed into heat and the wheel slows down.
