PROX Brake Disc for GAS GAS EC 250, EC 300 1995-2017

On GAS GAS EC 250, EC 300 from 1995 to 2017, the PROX 37.BD27095 brake disc fits in place of the original part. Gripped by the pads, the brake disc soaks up the heat of every stop. Its design (cut-outs, petal profile) helps clear mud and cool it down.

When to replace it?

• Thickness below the minimum stamped on the disc or given in the manual.
• Warped disc: vibration through the lever or pedal, brake that “pulses”.
• Deep scoring, cracks or blueing after overheating.

Measure the thickness with a micrometer every time you change the pads, and replace the disc as soon as it reaches the minimum thickness, or if it's warped or cracked.

Fitting tips

1. Clean the hub mounting face: a single grain of sand under the disc is enough to throw it out of true.
2. Fit the disc the right way round (markings facing out, direction of rotation if indicated).
3. Tighten the bolts in a criss-cross pattern to the manufacturer's torque, with medium-strength threadlocker.
4. Degrease the disc and ideally fit new pads.
5. Bed in with a dozen progressive stops.
