NG offers this brake disc for KTM SX 450, SX 505, XC 450, XC 525 2008-2012. The disc is bolted to the wheel and turns with it. When you brake, the caliper squeezes the pads against the disc: the friction turns speed into heat and the wheel slows down.
Why replace your brake disc?

When should you replace the brake disc on your KTM XC 525?
Measure the thickness with a micrometer: below the minimum stamped on the disc, or if it is warped or cracked, it must be replaced.

Cross-Mania tip: Fit new pads with a new disc, degrease the braking surfaces and tighten the bolts with threadlocker to the specified torque. Bed the brakes in gradually.
