A brake disc larger than the original, with the bracket that moves the caliper outwards, or that bracket sold on its own.

BRAKING offers this oversize brake disc kit for KAWASAKI KLX 450, KX 250, KX 450, KXF 250, KXF 450 and SUZUKI RMZ 250, RMZ 450 2005-2027. With a larger disc, the pads grip further from the centre of the wheel: for the same effort at the lever, the bike brakes harder.

Why fit an oversize disc?

The benefits:

More braking power for the same effort at the lever.
Less fatigue in the hands and forearms on long descents.
A larger disc gets rid of heat better: braking stays consistent for longer.

When should you replace the brake disc?

Check it at every pad change: the disc must be replaced below its minimum thickness (stamped on it or given by the manufacturer) or if it is warped or cracked; the bracket, if it is bent.
