NG offers this brake disc for GAS GAS EC 50 BOY, PAMPERA 250, TXT BOY 50 1995-2006. The disc is bolted to the wheel and turns with it. When you brake, the caliper squeezes the pads against the disc: the friction turns speed into heat and the wheel slows down.
