The lever on the right of the handlebar that you squeeze with your fingers to brake the front wheel.
BIHR offers this brake lever. When you pull the lever, it pushes a small piston in the master cylinder (the brake pump clamped to the handlebar), which sends brake fluid to the caliper.
Why replace the brake lever?
The benefits:
- Replace a bent or broken lever after a crash.
- Folding versions swing away on impact instead of breaking.
- Depending on the model, the reach adjusts to your hand size for more precise braking.
When should you replace the lever?
A bent or broken lever, play on its pivot, or a folding joint that no longer returns: it must be replaced.
