With the LEATT Moto 4.5 Enduro Evo Boots, LEATT offers off-road boots that are stiff where it matters and comfortable to walk in, shown here in white.
Off-road, your feet and ankles take the hardest knocks: a motocross boot combines a rigid shell against impacts, ankle support against twisting and a sole that grips the footpegs.
LEATT was born in South Africa from the Leatt-Brace, the neck protection device invented by Dr Christopher Leatt after a fatal racing accident. Since then, the brand has designed protection and gear tested in real-world conditions, with rider safety as its guiding principle.
Sizes are given in European sizing (US equivalents and foot length in the specifications). Try the boots on with long motorcycle socks and allow a few rides to break them in before a race. After riding, rinse off the mud with water, without using a pressure washer on the stitching, and let them air-dry. Tuck your pants into the boots so they don't snag.
How do I choose my motocross boot size?
Measure your foot length in cm, heel against a wall, and compare it with the length listed for each size; with thick socks, leave a few millimetres of margin.
Are the boots stiff at first?
Yes, new boots need a few rides to mould to your foot and ankle; never race in a pair you have not worn before.
