HOT RODS offers this balance shaft rebuild kit for POLARIS RANGER 700, SPORTSMAN 700, SPORTSMAN 800, SPORTSMAN 800 6X6, SPORTSMAN 800 TRG 4X4 2001-2014. As the piston moves up and down, it shakes the whole engine. To compensate, many engines have a balance shaft: a shaft with an off-centre weight, driven by the crankshaft, which turns so as to cancel out part of this shaking.
