ATHENA Clutch Steel Plate Kit for GAS GAS EC 200, EC 250, EC 300, ECF 300, ECF 400, ECF 450, MC 250, MX 250 1997-2015

ATHENA offers this clutch steel plate kit for GAS GAS EC 200, EC 250, EC 300, ECF 300, ECF 400, ECF 450, MC 250, MX 250 1997-2015. The clutch is a stack of plates: friction plates and plain steel plates. When you release the lever, the springs squeeze them together and the engine drives the gearbox.

Why replace the steel plates?

The benefits:

• Get rid of slipping and grabbing.
• Restore a progressive clutch.
• Flat, healthy plates make the friction plates last.

Why choose ATHENA?

Athena, founded in 1973 by Giovanni Mancassola near Vicenza and based in Alonte (Italy), designs gaskets, pistons and cylinder kits; it supplies original equipment to manufacturers such as KTM, Ducati, Fantic and Triumph.

When should you replace the clutch plates on your GAS GAS EC 250?

Measure the friction plate thickness and the spring free length: below the manufacturer's minimum they must be replaced. Blued or warped steel plates are replaced too.
