MOTUL offers this 4-stroke engine oil. Oil forms a film between the engine parts that rub together (piston, crankshaft, camshaft) and carries away some of the heat.
Why a dedicated four-stroke motorcycle oil?
The benefits:
- On most bikes, one oil protects the engine, gearbox and clutch.
- Motorcycle oils meeting JASO MA or MA2 do not contain the “friction-reducing” additives of some car oils: the clutch grips without slipping.
- It is designed for the high revs and heat of a motorcycle engine.
When should you replace this part?
At the riding hours given by the manufacturer, often every 10 to 15 hours in motocross; more often in hard conditions.
