Cutting tools, files and abrasives for motorcycle mechanics

Everything that cuts, scrapes or sands during a strip-down: cutters and knives, hacksaws and blades, files, gasket scrapers, sandpaper, abrasive pads and wire brushes. They clean a gasket face, deburr a part or remove rust.

On an aluminium gasket face, avoid hard blades that scratch the surface, since a scratch can cause a leak. Choose sandpaper by grit: a low number removes material, a high number (400 and above) gives a finer finish.
