Von ALL BALLS: Lenkkopflager-Kit für SUZUKI DR 650 SE, DR-Z 400 S, DR-Z 400 SM, DRZ 400, RM 125 und KAWASAKI KLX 400 1990-2017. Der Lenkschaft, der die Gabel mit dem Rahmen verbindet, dreht sich in zwei Lagern: einem oben, einem unten.

Woraus besteht dieses Lager?

Ringe und Kugeln aus gehärtetem Chromstahl Typ 100Cr6, sehr hart und ermüdungsfest, geschützt durch Gummidichtungen.

• Doppelt abgedichtet (2RS): auf jeder Seite eine Dichtung, sehr dicht gegen Wasser und Schlamm, im Gelände unverzichtbar.
• Grenze: etwas mehr Reibung als ein Lager mit Metalldeckscheiben (ZZ), das leichter läuft, aber viel schlechter abdichtet.
• Einbau: mit Presse oder Treibdorn über den Außenring, nie auf die Dichtung schlagen; Hochdruckreiniger von den Naben fernhalten.

Wann die Lenkkopflager tauschen?

Rastung in Geradeausstellung oder Klacken beim Bremsen bei angehobenem Vorderrad: Die Lager sind fällig.
