AFAM offers this rear sprocket for RIEJU MRT 50, MRT 50 SM PRO, MRT 50 SM TROPHY, MRX 50, SMX 50, GILERA RCR 50, SMT 50, APRILIA RX 50, SX 50 and YAMAHA DT 50, DT 50 X SUPERMOTARD 1995-2026. The rear sprocket receives the engine’s power through the chain and turns the rear wheel. Its number of teeth sets the gearing: with more teeth the bike accelerates harder but has a lower top speed; with fewer teeth it is the other way round.

Why fit a new rear sprocket?

The number of teeth is chosen to suit the terrain: more teeth for slow, tight sections, fewer for fast tracks.

Cross-Mania tip: Replace the rear sprocket, front sprocket and chain together, tighten the sprocket bolts in a cross pattern with threadlocker and set the chain slack to the manual.
